Michael Seibold

Born and raised in Santa Monica, Michael got his education in training early in life, both his mother her and her significant other are personal trainers.  At a young age he was taken to Gold's Gym in Venice better known as the Mecca and it was here that he was introduced to well known Body Builder's and the work needed to reach fitness goals.  He put that work ethic to use, earning a reputation at Santa Monica High School for not only hard work but strength as he shattered lifting records and power as he tackled on the football field.

At the age of 18 Michael blew out his knee during a football game causing him to lose his D1 scholarship and darkened his dream of playing professional football.  Instead of giving up, Michael started rehabbing his knee.  He spent the next four years making his body stronger and faster earning not only a spot on West LA college football team but eventually a scholarship to Pace University.

After a tear in his biceps brachii at Pace the window for professional football officially closed.  Michael returned home with a passion for learning the human body, how to stretch it, rehab it, make it stronger and faster.  After seeing flaws in other's training programs, Michael decided to become a personal trainer earning his ISSA personal training certification and returned to Golds.  It was here he was recruited to be a trainer at Equinox West LA.

At Equinox Michael learned more in depth science and application of program design.  He rose quickly to a top tier trainer and built a solid business.  It was here he also met Christen, his now wife.

Michael specializes in individualized programs, designing programs for his clients to effectively and safely reach his/her goals.  Expertise in nutrition, sports training, strength gain, injury prevention and weight loss.  His certifications include: ISSA - CPT, Kettlebells, ViPR, Sports and Agility Training and Precision Nutrition.

Christen Miles Seibold

Christen Miles Seibold

Born and raised in Aurora Colorado, Christen knew from a young age that she had a passion for teaching and a knowledge of the human body.  With a physical therapist mother, Christen could identify bad gait patterns as a small child and proudly announced she hurt her "patella" when she was 5.

At the age of 6 Christen joined a competitive swim team and by the age of 9 she added in a year round gymnastics team.  While her mother knew the human body, her best coach was her father.  He not only understood movement of sports he never played but how to teach it to his teams.

Christen's first job was at the age of 15 teaching gymnastics both to 5 year old and 18 year olds.  It was here Christen discovered her knack and love for teaching and coaching and decided to become a physical therapist like her mom.

Christen attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating with a degree in Kinesiology and Applied Physiology.  Right after college she went to work at Boulder Center for Sports Medicine as a Physical Therapy Aide.  Here she got to do most of the rehab exercises for patients in addition to modalities needed.

California called to Christen not long after college and brought her to Lake Tahoe where she worked for Tahoe Forest Hospital in both in patient and out patient physical therapy. Here she was able to open a clinic with her mentor and learn post rehabilitative exercises and injury prevention.  After enough clients with injuries from a personal trainer she decided to get her certification by NSCA and sought out to bring injury prevention to the training industry.

Christen began at Equinox in San Francisco in 2007.  Her business grew quickly due to her knowledge of injuries and she soon has a full book of clients ranging from post rehab total knee replacements to skiers with bad knees.  Over 10 years with Equinox Christen has gone from trainer to educator to manager to mentor.  It is also here she met her future husband in LA doing what she loves, teaching science.

Christen specializes in body weight training, sports training, injury prevention, post rehabilitative training, weight loss and any aging clientele. Her certifications include, NSCA - CPT, FMS, Trigger point therapy, Kettlebells, TRX and Precision Nutrition.  She is currently working on her Certified Medical Exercise Specialist certification as well.
